In the 2019-20 Academic Year, 9,376 international students studied in the state of Alabama.  385 of these students attended secondary schools in Alabama and most of them lived with host families.  Alabama host families are welcome to become part of the exciting world of student exchange. Exchange students start arriving in August and come from countries such as Germany, Brazil, South Korea, Thailand, Belgium, Mexico, and others.
